RMC's Perch Shelter
The Perch - 4313'
The RMC operates four backcountry facilities in the northern Presidentials; the Perch, the Log Cabin, Gray Knob, and Crag Camp. There is a $7/night fee at the Perch and it operates on a first-come/first-served basis.
The Perch is an open shelter located just off the Randolph Path. It sleeps 8, and there are four tent platforms, a composting privy, and a good water source at the site. There are no overflow tent sites and no camping is allowed within .25 miles of the shelter. No open fires are permitted.
