    Whiteface - 4010'

Mt Whiteface is located in the Waterville Valley area. The south ledges are a popular destination for the great views, but the true summit is wooded. It is actually just the high point on the Rollins Trail headed towards Passaconaway. There is no sign or cairn, just keep an eye out for when you start heading down.

The usual approach is up the Blueberry Ledge Trail which comes up from the Ferncroft Parking area. You can also come up from the Kancamagus Highway on the Downs Brook Trail, but this is much longer. There used to be two shelters on Whiteface, Camp Shehadi in the col between the main and south summits and Camp Heermance just below the south summit ledges. Both have been removed. There is a fairly reliable spring just South Summit. Trails in the area are maintained by the Wonalancet Out Doors Club.
