    A bunch of new trip reports, and many updates to mountains pages. I'm trying to catch up from my backlog of trips from the past summer, and even one from the past winter. Snow is falling and I don't have last year's done?!

    Two new trip reports: Washington via Tuckerman Ravine and South and Middle Carter. Updates to the following pages: Winter hiking, Skiing, Waumbek, Washington, Winter hiking, Madison, Other White Mountain locations, Latest trail conditions, Lonesome Lake Hut, Cabot, Carter Notch Hut, Middle Carter, South Carter, Moriah, The Old Man of the Mountains, Flume, Flume, and Bears. The entire shelters page has been redone and most of the shelters have been updated, as well as new pages for some shelters.

    Bunch of new trip reports: Lafayette via Skookumchuck, Tripyramids from the Kanc, Southern Presidentials, Whiteface/Passaconawy, One Day Pemi Traverse, and Carrigain via Signal Ridge. All the various mountain pages for those hikes have been updated.

    Week of 1/Jun/02

    Bunch of stuff, it's been a while. I added four trip reports from this winter; Skiing Gorge Brook on Moosilauke, Up Valley Way to Madison, Greenleaf Hut and skiing in VT, and MLK Weekend on Moosilauke. In additions I've added or updated shelter pages for Camp Heermance, Camp Rich, Valley Way Campsite, Osgood Campsite, Imp Shelter, Ethan Pond Campsite, Rocky Branch #2, and Hermit Lake Shelters.

    Week of 31/Jan/02

    Finally, a decent sized update. There are five new trip reports: Moosilauke, Gathering 4:Ice Gulch, Tom, Field, and Willey, Garfield, and Adams. I updated the RMC shelters pages; Crag Camp, Gray Knob, The Perch, and the Log Cabin. Addition changes to the following pages: Tom, the Field, Willey, Owlshead, Moosilauke, and Garfield. There's also a new essay for your enjoyment.

    Still haven't done the Percival/Morgan report, now I have a weekend of skiing and hiking on Moosilauke, plus a bunch of odds and ends, including revamping the skiing section and adding all the remaining shelters.

    Week of 27/Oct/01

    Two new trip reports, one for Madison via Madison Gulf and Osgood Ridge, and a second one for a Bonds overnight. Additional changes to the following pages: North Kinsman, the Tripyramids, Whiteface, the Wildcats, Liberty, Bondcliff, Bond, Madison, Washington, Isolation, Jefferson, Franconia Brook Campsite, Skiing, and the Harvard Cabin.

    Under current development are trip reports for Percival and Morgan, Moosilauke, Tom/Field/Willey, Ice Gulch, Sandwich Dome, and Garfield. Either I've been busy hiking or lazy writing things up.

    Week of 31/May/01

    Continuing a major revamp of the site.  Added two new trip reports, one for skiing Tuckerman and a winter hike up Carter Dome during the Gathering 3.5.  I also made some changes to the Moosilauke, skiing, Liberty, Flume, and Washington pages.

    Week of 25/May/01

    Started a major revamp of the site.  New fonts, new formats, lots of new links and cleaned up lots of old ones.  The major changes on this first round are to the following pages: Washington, Adams, Madison, Tuckerman Ravine, Huntington Ravine, Mount Washington Cog Railroad, Mount Washington Auto Road, Lincoln, Lafayette, and Links.  I still have many trip reports on the way, including a Carrigain dayhike, Liberty and Carter Dome winter hikes, North Kinsman from the the north, and a new Tuckerman ski trip.

    Week of 18/Mar/01

    Three new trip reports; Greeley Ponds ski trip, a MLK Weekend ski trip to Moosilauke, and a Whiteface overnight. Several new videos of people skiing along with those reports. I didn't get to all my trips this winter, maybe I'll have another update real soon for Liberty and Carter Dome.

    Not much this time, some noce movies in the White Mountains Theater, some stuff on the ski page, and updated picture of the moose on summit of Moosilauke. Many links updates.

    Added 5 new trip reports: Owls Head, Whiteface/Passaconaway Solstice, Liberty, Hancocks loop, and King Ravine/Adams. Updated the various associated mountain pages, including the WODC shelters. Added White Mountains Theater, Quicktime movies. A picture of a moose on the summit of Moosilauke!

    Week of 04/Aug/00

    Added 4 new winter trip reports, Moosilauke at New Years, skiing the Catamount Trail, skiing in the Gulf of Slides, and Mt Clinton. Updated a few pages, like Lakes of the Clouds, Crawford Notch, and Eisenhower. Updated the FAQ. Fixed many of the Wildlife links.

    Another two new trip reports, yet anther one for Franconia Ridge, this time an overnight at Greenleaf and one for a peakbagging weekend when we did Cabot and Moriah. I'm using new Topo software so check out the maps for the trip reports.

    Major changes to the site. Nearly every page has some changes, including new backgrounds for every page. New info added to the following pages: Parking Pass situation, Washington, Jefferson, Eisenhower, Pierce, Monroe, Adams, Bond, Bondcliff, Cabot, Cannon, Carrigain, Carter Dome, Carters, Field, Flume, Galehead, and Garfield. I'm working my way throught the peaks alphabetically and will do updates on all of them soon. The latest Moosilauke ski trip was updated.

    Added trip report for Baxter State Park . It's big, and not in the Whites, but worthwhile. A few other minor changes here and there.

    Week of 17/Aug/97

    Added trip reports for Jefferson via Ridge of the Caps and Chocorua. There are updates to the Jefferson and Chocorua pages. Added a new page for the Jim Liberty Cabin. I've added a new section for panoramic photos with labels to help people identify what they're looking at. Added links for bike, running, and auto races on the Auto Road page. More updates on the Parking Fee program. I'm now hosting Tim Mallery's photo gallery .

    Add a trip report for Osceola and East Osceola, and added some stuff to the Osceola and East Osceola pages. Added a trip report for North and South Kinsman, and made changes to the North Kinsman, South Kinsman, Kinsman Pond Shelter, and Franconia Notch pages. Added a map of Moosilauke.

    Cleaned up a bunch of dead links. Added maps of Artist's Bluff, Franconia Ridge, Lonesome Lake and Cannon, the RMC facilities, and Adams and Madison.

    Week of 24/May/97

    Added a page about the new hiking fee system in the Whites. Added more pics to the latest Moosilauke trip report. Two new trip reports; a Tuckerman Ravine ski trip and a Mt Liberty day hike. Many of the pictures from the Liberty hike are used on the pages for mountains in and around the Pemi including Liberty, Lincoln, Flume, Garfield, Bond, West Bond, and Bondcliff. I've added a page for Liberty Springs Campsite.

    Yet another Moosilauke trip report, this time a doozy of a ski. Added new links. Added an page for the AMC hut rates. Removed some dead links, added lots of new ones. Major additions to the Tuckerman page.

    Happy New Years, again! Added some pics to the backcountry ski page, and a link to the Classic Backcountry Skiing book. Added pics to the Moosilauke, Carrigain, Washington, Carter Notch Hut, Zealand Falls Hut, Lakes of the Clouds Hut, Eisenhower, and Cog Railroad, and Crawford Notch pages. Added a new page for Cardigan. Added new icons for the main page. Added links to mountwashington.com, a great site on the Rock Pile. Added a page for the Old Man of the Mountains. Got rid of a bunch of gifs. Added maps of Franconia Notch, Crawford Notch, and roads in the Whites.

    I finally started a backcountry ski page, but it could use lots more info. I've fixed up all the references to the RSN cam pages and eliminated a couple of dead links. I added a second Franconia Trip report, plus added some pics to the Lafayette, Lincoln, and Liberty pages. There are a bunch of new sites on the links page.

    Thanks to Beau Seagraves, I added a whole bunch of pics for Washington, Lakes of the Clouds Hut, Tuckermans Ravine, and the Auto Road. I also added a trip report for a Franconia Ridge day hike, along with new shots of Lafayette, Lincoln, Liberty, Flume, Cannon, and Greenleaf Hut.

    Started adding shelters and tent platforms. Grabbed a photo of Mizpah Hut from the net. Filled out the list of mountains with links to notyet.html. Added N Twin and Carter Dome.

    Cleaned up the index page. Added some photos from a Lafayette winter trip. Added photos of Cannon tram, Crawford Notch, Castilated ridge, Eisenhower, Washington summit, Cog RR, and a few others.

    Happy New Years! I've made the mountains list alphabetical for easier access. I've added several new photos, including several of Lafayette, Washington summit, Clay, and Jefferson, all from a friends collection. I wrote up a trip report for Katahdin, which isn't really the Whites but what the heck. I added a link from the cog_rr page to a RR archive on the Web. Using xv I dithered many of the photos to give better resolution.

    As of 12/30/94

    Added pages for Tom, Field, Willey, and the Great Gulf. Scanned in several new pics of Lafayette, Lakes of the Clouds, Moosilauke, Carrigain, and Star Lake. Added an "all the pics" choice from the main menu. Dropped in photos of Everest and K2 in the photos directory.
